Gas prices in Vietnam were adjusted up VND11,000 to VND351,000 per 12-kg cylinder from 7:30 a.m. today, June 21.
Do Trung Thanh, deputy head of sales department of Saigon Petro said the price adjustment followed the move of raising gas import tax to 5% by the Ministry of Finance from previous 0%. The Ministry of Finance also ordered gas enterprises to register gas prices after the tax change.
